    Hi there, I have a case.

    Hi, My name is Ferry from Indonesia. I am a 24 years old male who loves to work out. I’ve been working out since 3 years ago constantly. One day, I was doing a lateral pulldown back workout, and I was forcing myself to workout harder than usual. I didn’t hear any popping sound while I was weightlifting, and I didn’t feel any pain. The next day, I felt a sharp pain inside my left elbow. I ignored it because I thought that it was temporary and it’s just going to disappear without doing anything. I kept my doing my normal workout ever since. One month after, because my left arm didn’t seem to heal and it actually got worse, I went to see a sports injury doctor. After doing USG on my left arm, he said that I have a partial bicep tear. After that he did acupuncture occasionally (4 times to be exact) to treat my arm. I feel better after doing the acupuncture, but even after the treatments, I still went with my normal workout schedule because my doctor let me (I didn’t rest) and I started to feel the pain again. That went on for another month then I realized that my arm wasn’t getting better. My palm couldn’t even reach my left shoulder and I don’t have a maximum flexion (limited range of motion). I went to see another doctor (orthopedist in Indonesia) to get different inputs and he did an MRI test on my left elbow. The result was that I have partial ulnar collateral lateral ligament tear. Other than that, the lab test and the EMG were both normal. On top of that, I’ve been taking medications such as Medrol 2×1, Cataflam 1×1, and Myobat 1×1 for 5 days.
    Now, I took a complete rest from working out, I compressed my left elbow with warm water everyday, and also I did physiotherapy for 7 times but now it’s been 3 weeks but I still couldn’t see improvement. It seems like nothing changes and my hand still couldn’t reach my left shoulder and the pain is still there. My goal is to start working out again and I really want my left elbow to heal.

    I’ve browsed in the internet and looking for the right specialist in Singapore, but Im afraid I choose the wrong Specialist.
    Do you have any Specialist recommendation that mastered Elbow injury? Ive been visiting a lot of Specialist in Indonesia and no one can fix my problem. Now, I’m considering to visit singapore to see a competent specialist who understand my problem.
